Thalia Surf x Cxyxte Gallery Present The Wax Ball: WAND, Gooch Palms, Frankie & The Witch Fingers

Featuring live performances by: WAND [LA] GOOCH PALMS [AUS] FRANKIE & THE WITCH FINGERS [INDIANA] WAND - Hailing from Los Angeles, CA. WAND is getting ready for their album debut 'Golem' to hit shelves mid-March 2015. "The Los Angeles-based quartet, which was signed by Ty Segall himself to his Drag City imprint, GOD? Records, and will appeal to fans of Tame Impala. Admiring the "psychedelic stomp" of recent single "Broken Candle", music blog Austin Town Hall goes on the describe the album like this: "Ganglion Reef has a great deal of fuzzy elements to it but they walk this fine line between being noisy and radio-friendly."" - HypeM GOOCH PALMS - For almost 4 years Australia's favorite punk sweethearts have been melting faces with their high energy, take no prisoners, balls out, drool-inducing live shows. They make a lot of noise for a minimal two piece but what they lack in instrumentation they make up for in stage presence and songs that you'll be humming, whether you want to or not, for days, months or maybe even years after the show is over. They've shared the stage with the likes of Jon Spencer Blues Explosion, Thee Oh Sees, 5,6,7,8's, Nobunny, Hunx & His Punx, Shannon & The Clams, The King Khan & BBQ Show, Tyvek and more. FRANKIE & THE WITCH FINGERS - Straight outta Bloomington, Indiana [and now Los Angeles], Frankie & The Witch Fingers give a nod to bands like The Sonics, The Seeds, The Nerves and 13th Floor Elevators. Dylan channels the inner thoughts and dreams of his psychedelic feline companion, Frankie. They share a singluar MIND and channel aural colors and shapes thru the ELECTRIC SÉANCE. The "fingers" are what you would expect them to be - pieces of the GREATER BEING, bent with occult knowledge. Together they melt music onto small reels of tape while exploring the INFINITE realm of sound. This phenomenon was referred to by the ancient ones as... Frankie and the Witch Fingers. Doors @ 9pm. 21+ $10 Cover Don't miss out on 3 epic bands! This Wax Ball is on a TUESDAY not Thursday this month!
